以賽亞書 21:11-12 這段經文講到

有人從Edom 來問以賽亞( watchman)

還要等多久黑夜會過去,白天才來到?

先知回應:
   “天就亮了, 但黑夜很快跟著來 “
   若想知道回頭再回來詢問!

Watchman 也叫Seer ,就是指先知.

因為Watchman是站在高處的瞭望台

注意敵軍的動靜,隨時警告城內人.

為何神要以賽亞說 “天就亮了, 但黑夜很快跟著來” ?

這裡講的天亮指的是黎明來到,也就是指耶穌第一次來,  祂就是那光,祂來就是那晨光,

祂第一次來很短暫,  等祂上了十字架, 黑夜就來掌權.

但若想知道何時再見晨光, 尋求祂,祂就會告訴你!

This message came to me concerning Edom:
Someone from Edom  keeps calling to me,
“Watchman, how much longer until morning?
When will the night be over?”
The watchman replies,
“Morning is coming, but night will soon return.
If you wish to ask again, then come back and ask”
